This study aims to investigate the degree of acceptance of the Performance Measurement and EvaluationSystem (Pmes) in a public university and to understand its relationships with its Organizational Model(Om). Two hypotheses were developed to investigate the possible factors affecting employees’ degree of acceptance of the Om and Pmes. Data were collected from a questionnaire submitted to all technical– administrative staff of a public university. This paper is an empirical case analysis. The results confirm the relationship between the perception of the performance management system and Om. In the case study examined, the results offer a relevant research opportunity as the hypotheses considered can also be tested in other organizations where changes in Om that affect performance measurement and management are introduced. Understanding success factors can help managers make effective improvements to the performance management system in relation to the organizational structure of their organizations.
